Bearing Witness
Curation Exhibition Design Writing Pamphlet DesignBearing Witness was a digital exhibition presented at The Racial Imaginary Institute’s Summer Symposium, co-curated by Sonya Imin and myself. The exhibition featured artists Ma Jianzheng, Camilla Dilshat, Medina Bazargali, and Yadykar Ibraimov, as well as the co-curators — the first intersectional cohort to speak out on the Uyghur crisis together. Taking inspiration from state propoganda, the poster and pamphlet design contrast idyllic portrayals of the region with the harsh realities unfolding within it.
