Selina Lee is a research-based artist based in Berlin. She works with archival imagery, forensics, and testimony to probe the political and technological systems governing how we see. Across 2D and time-based media, she layers distorts, or disguises source material to interrogate the credibility of images.
Her artwork has exhibited at internationally at the Yianjiao Biennale, Miller ICA in Pittsburgh, PA, Austria House in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and a number of galleries and universities across Germany and the U.S. She earned a BFA in 2020 from Carnegie Mellon University and was awarded a Fulbright in 2022 to research Xinjiang diasporic artists.
Lee also designs and edits visuals for New Lines Institute and Magazine. Other past experiences include, Foreign Policy and Foreign Affairs Magazine.
